We are pleased to announce another successful charity golf tournament! Over $33,000 was raised during the annual fundraiser held on Thursday, August 15th at the Grand Falls Golf Club thanks to our amazing sponsors, donors, golf participants, volunteers!

Thank you Belairdirect (formerly Johnson Insurance) for sponsoring our Hole in One contest. Thanks to Paula Grimes-Butler, Teena Parsons and Maria Sacrey of Outport Realty, who joined us and offered giveaways on their Hole. Thanks to Mike Patey and his grandson Jake, who came out and sponsored a Hole offering our golf participants a chance to win a trip for two anywhere in Canada. He donated $1,500 from the proceeds of the ticket sales to the Foundation. Congratulations to Evelyn Lucas of Air-Tite Sheet Metal on winning the trip. Thanks to David Baker of Labatt for the many additional things he did to make our tournament a success – a Taste Test Hole, offering Cowboy Hats for us to sell, proving the first, second, third and losing team prizes and for providing a free product to each golfer on golf day!

Last but not least, I have to give a shout out to our staff, Executive Assistant Cynthia Foss and summer student Ethan Lane, who were instrumental in preparing, organizing and making everything for golf day run smoothly.
I thank everyone involved. If I have forgotten anyone, I apologize as it really do take a village to make this event a success. Our proceeds will be used to purchase Laparoscopic OR instruments for Urology procedures at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre.
